There is a reason why free diet programs use cutting carbs as a strategy to lose weight, it works. Why? Carbs increase insulin in the body, a hormone that inhibits fat breakdown and increases fat storage. Reducing those insulin jumps is very important for fat control and eventual fat loss. Therefore, by reducing carb intake will take cat least control those insulin jump, reducing fat increase.
